Dr. Slick Ceramic Bobbin

Bobbins are essential in fly-tying because they maintain consistent tension on the thread spool and feature incredibly smooth inserts to apply thread to your fly. To meet these requirements, we offer two types of bobbins that excel at these tasks. Each series includes delrin feet for optimal tension on the thread spool and either dual ceramic or titanium oxide funnel inserts for seamless thread application onto the fly. The funnel-shaped inserts improve the thread's application by rotating the bobbin, resulting in fewer breaks compared to traditional pipe or straight-edged inserts.
