A favored fly among large striped bass in Maine, this articulated hollow fly pattern is designed and crafted to catch big fish. With a profile that matches most of the baitfish found here along the Maine and New England coast with great movement to match. Also a preferred Giant Trevally fly. This pattern will fool any fish that is interested in a big easy meal. These flies are extremely durable with every tie being secured with resin and extensions tied on stainless steel shanks. They are about 10” long. Heavily inspired by Bob Popovics original Beast Fleye, with a little Blane Chocklett shank technique and a Mark Sedotti weight balancing mentality. Similar but different than the rest out there. For best results fish with an intermediate or sinking/sink tip line.
Two Sizes:
- 6/0 (tied on AHREX Beast Fleye SA290 Hook)
- 8/0 (tied on AHREX Beast Fleye SA290 Hook)
Noted Features:
- Tied with stainless articulated shanks
- Every tie is secured with UV resin
- Tied with high quality bucktail
- Realistic 3D Holographic Eyes and built UV resin head
