An incredibly productive pattern for permit and bonefish, the Avalon is a shrimp pattern that is designed to resemble the larger Mantis shrimp seen in Cuba, the Bahamas, and other parts of the Caribbean.
This is one of the best permit flies around, with lead eyes for quick sinking and to keep it crawling on the bottom. Works great on the flats or in deeper channels for cruising fish. The fly features a mono loop with beads on the bottom that helps keep the fly riding hook point up and adding an attractive clicking noise.
Heavy & light variations are different by one size lead eye (heavy = medium lead eyes // light = small lead eyes)
