The best part about the Cray Claw's design is not only in the way they look, but in how the move and swim in the water. Originally designed to be suitable for saltwater Crays and freshwater Crawdads, they clearly have application for various crab patterns as well.
These claws will articulated up and down as the fly is stripped but not cross over. So they will not foul. In addition, they well thought out articulation point enables the fly to swim/track hook point up if desired. As they do not absorb water, the Cray Claws do not add extra weight.
