Raptor Smelt (Locally Tied)
Raptor Smelt (Locally Tied)
Couldn't load pickup availability
During the springtime smelt run here in New England, trout and landlocked salmon key in on this baitfish. Historically, some of the biggest trout in Maine have been caught on smelt imitations. But it's not just a great pattern for the spring, trout and salmon love streamers all year-long! Available in two different color schemes, these flies were designed to imitate the colors of the smelt we have in here in Maine. A productive pattern for either casting or trolling. Tied with a combination of Raptor Hackle and synthetic fibers.
- Tied on a size #4, 7XL traditional streamer hook
- Body braid is covered in resin for durability, weight, and attraction/appearance
- Available with tungsten bead head
Tied by: Josh Thelin
This is a in-house tied pattern. We try our best to keep our flies available and in stock, but during certain times there might be a slight delay due to demand, etc. Please contact us if you need these immediately, are going on a trip, or otherwise as we can certainly do our best to accommodate you!
